Cultural Keystone Species & Ecosystem Planning
We identify culturally significant species and the habitats that sustain them, map ecological and cultural relationships across landscapes, and develop stewardship and management plans that reflect community priorities and long-term resilience.
TEK-Informed Planning Support
We design ethical, community-led processes for how knowledge is gathered, protected, and applied. We assist with protocol development and data governance, and we build co-produced planning approaches that respectfully bridge TEK and Western science—guided by knowledge holders and local leadership.
Restoration Planning & Design
We develop feasibility studies, restoration concepts, and site-specific plans for riparian, wetland, forest, prairie, and other systems. Our work often includes restoration priority-setting, culturally significant native species recommendations, and phased roadmaps that clarify steps, roles, and resource needs.
Food Sovereignty & Community Stewardship Projects
We support planning for cultural foods and medicines, assess harvest areas and access needs, and shape community-led stewardship strategies that strengthen intergenerational knowledge transfer and local capacity.
Wildlife Habitat Conservation
We conduct habitat assessments and create conservation strategies that improve habitat condition, support focal species (including pollinators, migratory birds, and aquatic species where relevant), and strengthen landscape connectivity through corridor and opportunity planning.
Natural & Cultural Resource Assessments
We provide baseline inventories, condition assessments, and vulnerability and resilience evaluations related to climate, fire, drought, and flooding. These efforts help partners prioritize actions, identify funding-ready projects, and build defensible decision frameworks. We also have professionally registered archaeologists who can conduct Phase I, II, and III surveys.
GIS Mapping & Spatial Analysis
Our services include restoration opportunity mapping, prioritization modeling, and clear cartographic products for plans, grants, and outreach. When projects involve sensitive cultural information, we incorporate appropriate confidentiality controls and data stewardship practices.
Grant & Program Support
We provide project scoping, proposal narratives, supporting maps and appendices, and monitoring/reporting frameworks aligned with funder requirements—so good ideas can become fundable, implementable projects.
Workshops & Planning Facilitation
We bring partners together in productive, respectful, and outcome-driven settings. This includes community visioning and goal-setting, cultural keystone species workshops, TEK-informed planning sessions, participatory mapping and story mapping (with confidentiality protocols), multi-partner coordination, and implementation charrettes that translate priorities into timelines, roles, and next steps. We design agendas, facilitate meetings, document decisions, and produce facilitation-ready materials and summaries that keep projects moving and accountable.
